The Secret to Fuller Lashes

Backstage at Creatures of the Wind, Nars Director of Global Artistry James Boehmer was breaking down the ‘70s meets ‘20s makeup look when one tip really caught my attention. “For models who have thin lashes and need more volume we’re brushing on loose translucent powder to build them up,” says Boehmer. “It’s kind of like tempura or breading—I know that sounds so weird, but you layer on powder as a coating and then apply mascara on top for fuller, thicker lashes.” But why not use an eyelash primer? “I think primer is gratuitous. You already have your powder out so it’s not like an extra step.” Genius!
