That's Amore: Olympic Surfer Gets Engaged on a Beach in Hawaii

Love and surfing. It happens in between barrels, ice baths, and surf trips.

World #9 surfer Leo Fioravanti just shared news that's even bigger than qualifying for next year's Olympics.

He's popped the question to long-time girlfriend and North Shore resident, Sophia Wilson, aka Benji Weatherley's niece.

Fioravanti announced the engagement in the post above yesterday and captioned it:

"She said YES! and it was the best day of our lives! Can’t wait for the future!!!"

The post show three photos of the couple looking pretty blissed out on the beach.

It looks like Fioravanti popped the question on the North Shore, complete with a heart made of rose petals.

Judging by the tame ocean in the background, Fioravanti must've proposed in between the big swells that have been hitting the North Shore.

Think that's a section out of the surfer's handbook?

Typical.

Being born and raised on the North Shore and related to Benji, Wilson's no stranger to the lifestyle.
