Josh Brolin has just issued an exciting update about Thanos.

Speaking with ComicBook, the actor behind Marvel’s biggest, baddest villain said, "You know, I hear kind of like through the grapevine that they're gonna bring him back."

Brolin was on a promotional tour for his latest movie, Dune: Part Two, in which he plays Gurney Halleck. But he still found time to answer questions about his most famous role as Marvel’s Mad Titan.

"And there's the What If...? series and that's a different kind of Thanos and all that,” Brolin continued. “But I don't know in the Marvel world whether they're going to bring him back, but I didn't know that he was the most killed-off Marvel villain…You learn something new every day."

Currently, Marvel is setting up phase 5 of its cinematic universe with a new ‘big bad’ in Kang the Conqueror. With Marvel Studios firing Majors on December 18 after a jury found him guilty of two domestic-violence charges, however, the door may be open for Brolin’s Thanos to make a surprise re-emergence.
