Milan Fashion Week had no shortage of celebrities. With Cate Blanchett, Cardi B, Liam Payne, and even Stevie Wonder turning up for the wealth of fashion shows, parties, and events, it can be hard for a new face to make an impression—but Davika Hoorne didn’t have that problem. The Thai actress emerged as one of the week’s standouts and was among the most exciting people in Milan, thanks to her triple-threat media presence. On the runway for Dolce & Gabbana’s #DGDNA-themed collection, she shared every moment on social media with the skill of a seasoned presenter. Throughout the week, she was also captured in countless street style images due to her daring personal style.

A household name in Thailand, Hoorne rose to stardom on television, but it was the 2013 film Pee Mak that pushed her into the stratosphere. A comic adaption of a Thai folk legend involving a beautiful female ghost, the movie would go on to become the highest grossing Thai picture of all time. A model before experiencing acting success, Hoorne has been able to balance the worlds of cinema and fashion, appearing in popular series while serving as a spokeswoman for brands like L’Oréal and experimenting with dramatic styles during her public appearances.

On Instagram, where she boasts more than 7.7 million followers, Hoorne’s knowledge of fashion is especially evident. Each update means a new outfit displaying Hoorne’s curated wardrobe.
