Lee Carter, a Texas rapper who goes by the moniker “Viper,” was arrested Thursday after police claim he kept a pregnant woman locked in his garage for five years. He is accused of aggravated kidnapping and sexual assault.

According to the woman, she was pregnant and panhandling on the street when Carter went up to her and gave her a dollar. The woman eventually entered his car because she was feeling “vulnerable” but knew it was “against her better judgement.”

She stated that when she got to Carter’s house, she was locked inside his garage. Carter then allegedly forced her to repeatedly do drugs and have sex with him, only feeding her “snacks,” authorities stated.

The woman reportedly contacted police in April of last year, and when officers arrived at Carter’s home, they discovered the inhumane conditions. Per KHOU, the woman had to use a “makeshift toilet” amongst other gruesome things:

“When police made it to the home, they rescued the woman and noticed that the garage she said she was being held captive in had a makeshift toilet that did not flush, a mattress covered with fresh vomit, a box of assorted chips and a shelf with about four to five folded shirts and 10 to 15 diapers, court documents said. The woman told police she wanted to press charges against Carter and requested a protection order.”

Although the woman claimed she was pregnant when she was kidnapped, authorities haven’t explained what happened to her child or if there was indeed a child to begin with.

In 2008, Carter released the album “You’ll Cowards Don’t Even Smoke Crack” as “Viper” and has received millions of views. Additionally, Carter is also a real estate broker who owns a moving company in Houston.
