Texas Labrador Looking for a Loving Home After Being Freed From Railroad Tracks

It's a miracle that Lucky was found in time.

We have a feeling this story will change the minds of those who don't believe in miracles as Animal Care Services is calling this recent news "miracle on the tracks," according to the KENS5 News report. Grab a tissue as well because this will bring a tear of joy to your eyes.

An animal care officer quickly responded to a 311 call relating to a dog tied to an active railroad track. Our hearts just stopped reading that. But thanks to this officer's quick action, we can all breathe a sigh of relief. Check out the Facebook post from the City of San Antonio Animal Care Services for the full story.

Aww! We're so, SO thankful for this officer's quick response to the call and for saving this sweet angel. We have no idea how this dog ended up stuck on the train tracks. All we know is that it could've ended tragically if it weren't for this officer. Lucky is the perfect name for this very lucky doggo.

"Thank you for saving him. Officer Edward, you are a hero. You saved the dog's life from certain death," wrote Facebook user Pamela Ramirez. A million, trillion thank yous to Officer Edward!

Another user, Lynne Woehlke, said, "Thank you for saving Lucky. We find many animals out on the tracks, mostly those who seem dumped and of course without a chip. There’s nothing more rewarding than getting a track dog or cat to a rescue shelter or a good home." Lucky is now at the shelter and as soon as he's settled down, he'll be ready to befriend visitors and find his forever family.
