Teva Celebrates 40 Years With ‘80s-Inspired Collection and ‘Where to Next’ Campaign

In celebration of its 40th anniversary, Teva is launching a multi-part “Revive” collection with four separate drops this spring. Each will feature best-selling archival styles featuring retro-inspired prints that pay homage to the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and 2010s.

First up is the ’80s capsule comprised of the Original Sandal Revive and Original Universal Revive. Both styles ($55) are equipped with archival wavy webbing and come in two colorways boasting nostalgic neon hues. Teva’s quick-dry webbing is crafted from recycled plastic using Repreve polyester yarn by Unifi that can be traced.

Teva, a division of Deckers Brands, introduced the world to the first sport sandal in 1984. Founder Mark Thatcher was a river guide on the banks of the Grand Canyon at the time and recognized a need for sandals that were suitable for adventuring. Flash forward 40 years and the brand’s outdoor-friendly sandals are beloved, often being referred to simply as “Tevas.”

“Our fans across decades and around the globe are uniquely united in a common search for adventure,
in whatever form that means to them,” says Sarah Carter, Teva’s director of global brand marketing. “This year, we’re looking back on where we’ve been, celebrating all the places people have taken us, and inspiring our fans to ask themselves, ‘Where to Next?’”

The ‘80s Revive collection is now available to shop on teva.com. The ’90s collection will drop in March, while the ’00s will arrive in May, and the final ’10s will launch the following month in June.
