Yesterday, July 14th, legendary ski movie production house Teton Gravity Research announced the upcoming release of its 28th annual film, "Legend Has It."

"We've traveled the world for 28 years in pursuit of groundbreaking action and cinematography. Over the years we have collected countless stories and experienced extraordinary moments. This year's annual film taps into these legendary tales - be it mythical storm cycles, heroic feats, or whispers of fantastical terrain," said Todd Jones, Teton Gravity Research co-founder.

"Legend Has It" was filmed last winter, which, as you probably know by now, was a season for the books, replete with more waist-deep powder days than a wizened ski bum could shake a finger at. And you know what bottomless snow means? The perfect playground for Teton Gravity Research's talented roster of athletes to get their send on. We skiing fans should be in for a delectable montage of massive cliffs, tricks, and nail-biting lines when "Legend Has It" drops.

And, with the stable of heavy-hitting feature-length ski flicks smaller than it used to be, it's always affirming that after all these years, Teton Gravity Research is still doing its thing. Packing into a movie theatre with your pals each fall to kick off the start of winter with some ski movie action is a special ritual that I'd hate to see go.

The "Legend Has It" trailer releases online on July 18th, which should whet your skiing appetite until the film's Teton Village, Wyoming, September 16th premiere. After the premiere, "Legend Has It" will go on tour, coming to screens worldwide. For screening dates, click here.
