As someone with a medium-toned complexion, most of the bronzers I've tried either don't show up on my skin or end up looking super ashy and patchy after a few hours of wear. Sure, I'll use sub-par bronzers for the sake of adding a bit of glow to my face, but most of them just don't provide the contour and level of natural radiance I'm looking to add to my skin. I had pretty much given up on my bronzer journey till I starting seeing the TikTok-famous Physician's Formula Murmuru Butter Bronzer ($10, Amazon) look incredible on a wide range of skin tones.

Made with eight different shade options, (which is far more than most bronzers I've tried!) I was cautiously optimistic about this. TikTok's beauty gurus raved about how buttery soft the aptly-named bronzer was, and how well it blended in the skin. I ordered the shades "Sunkissed" and "Deep" in the hopes that one would be my ideal shade. Here are my honest thoughts:

The shade range is great.

Indian skin like mine can be hard to color match since most of us have mixed undertones. I, for example, have a mix of red, orange, and yellow in my skin. While most bronzers on the mass market are catered towards lighter skin with cool undertones, each of Physician's Formula's butter bronzers cater to a wider range of skin tones. Inclusivity can be hard to find in any makeup brand, but especially in affordable brands, which makes this $10 find from Physican's Formula a total win.

They blend easily.

I'm fully guilty of using bronzers that don't blend super well, only to be left with very clear brown lines on my cheeks—and, I'm assuming I'm not alone. As a total non-makeup artist, these are super easy to use, making them a great option for people who are new to makeup.

That said, I (and a lot of other TikTok reviewers) warn against using the brush the product comes with. The common belief seems to be that the palm-sized silicone brush does deposit some product on your skin, but it also seems to take off any makeup you have on underneath. I recommend using a small fluffy brush like this one—the small tip offers targeted control over exactly where you want the product, and makes blending even easier. Simply tap your brush in the bronzer once or twice, and apply wherever you'd like some glow. I tap once for each cheek and then use whatever is left on my brush to contour my hairline and jawline.

If you're going for that no-makeup-makeup look, this bronzer is perfect. I wear the lighter of the two shades I tried, "Sunkissed" as an everyday naturally glowy look. And, when I want a bit more of a dramatic contour and radiance, I'll opt for "Deep." Plus, the staying power is pretty solid for how affordable this is—I can come home after a long day at work or at the end of a night out, and it looks nearly the same as it did when I first applied it.

For just $10, you really can't go wrong. If this made a bronzer lover out of me, a total non-believer, trust that it'll be a win for you, too. Don't trust me? This even has more than 20,000 five-star reviews on Amazon, many of which come with customer pictures (just in case you're not on TikTok yet—no judgement!).
