If you love edge-of-your-seat thrillers, then you need to watch this terrifying movie, which is gaining popularity on Netflix.

Introducing Alone. The film originally premiered in 2020, but it just recently claimed the number two spot on Netflix’s list of most-watched movies. (It’s currently ranked behind Damsel but ahead of Noah, The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Turbo.)

The film is like a cross between Split and Yellowjackets, following a woman (Jules Willcox) who is kidnapped by a bloodthirsty psychopath. At one point, she manages to escape and ventures into the Pacific Northwest wilderness, where she’s forced to battle the elements and find help. Of course, she must move quickly because her kidnapper is trying to track her down and finish what he started.

In addition to Willcox, the movie also stars Marc Menchaca, Tyler Posey, Anthony Heald and Jonathan Rosenthal.

Netflix’s official synopsis reads, “When a lone traveler flees the city looking for a fresh start, she meets a sadistic stalker who tries to make the wilderness her final destination.”

In an interview with Aristocrat, Willcox revealed that she fractured her foot while filming Alone and, therefore, had to rely on her stunt double, Michelle Damis, for the action scenes.

“Michelle had to do quite a bit more than she thought she was going to do because I broke my foot in the second week of filming,” she told the outlet. “So, two thirds or three quarters actually of the film, I’m in a walking boot which you can’t see in the final edit.”
