If there's one thing Stephen A. Smith is known for, it's for speaking his mind. The TV host recently reflected on his contentious relationship with his former First Take co-host Max Kellerman, blaming it on the show "flatlin[ing] when it came to the public at large." Football star Terrell Owens, however, wasn't buying it.

On Sept. 15, Owens reposted an old First Take clip where he claimed that Kellerman, a white man, was "Blacker" than Smith, pointing to his comment as the real reason Smith didn't have a good relationship with Kellerman.

Smith wasn't pleased with Owens rehashing old drama and doubling down on his comments.

"You know how I feel about your sorry ass [Terrell Owens] and you know why!" he wrote. "You should thank your Heavenly Father I haven’t zeroed in on you with the trifling shit you tried to pull. Tell folks to ask ESPN what your desperate ass tried to pull. Keep on talking. Eventually, you’ll expose yourself!"

He went on to threaten to expose Owens for bad behind-the-scenes behavior himself.

"Or… Maybe I’ll just dedicate the entire Stephen A. Smith Show/podcast on YouTube this Monday to all the things you tried to do behind the scenes—to BROTHERS—over the years while claiming someone is more of a brother than others. Let me think about that over the next 24 hours!!!!"

Smith went on to address the argument in an episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show on Sept. 18. Owens was quick to respond with his honest thoughts.

"Holding up papers talking about you got FILES of stuff on me! As long as no court houses and police departments don’t have any on me, I’m good. And even if they did ninja, so what!!! Miss me with that baloney!!!!" the Hall of Famer said. "Your alleged FILES of people that don’t like me because I stand and stood up for myself because of clowns like you that talk bad about us Black athletes like Kyrie, Kaepernick, Durant, etc. for the networks and their direction to get yourself a paycheck."

When it came to Smith's threats to reveal something bad about him, he shrugged it off: "Expose me with what?"

It's safe to say Owens probably won't be invited back on First Take any time soon.
