A. Teodoro RTW Fall 2021

Albino Teodoro has clearly found a silver lining to the restrictions and struggles of the past year: His style, known for its couture-like fabrications and old-school romance, is becoming sleeker and more minimal, all in the name of offering well-crafted pieces. For fall, the designer hinged on Brutalist architecture, its use of concrete and sharp lines and volumes informing the chic lineup rendered in a muted palette of black, dark navy and gray, the only exception being an all-red ensemble. Textured coats were tied with belts, while a silk duchesse parka with cashmere sleeves could easily be worn as a frock next fall. Full skirted shirt dresses were refined office options, while bias-cut tunics in wool crepe were appropriate party attire for when going out will resume.

Takeaway: With this sophisticated minimal collection in sync with the times, Teodoro proved that stripping back can sometimes be refreshing.
