Tennis Star Naomi Osaka Reveals Pregnancy With Sweet Photo on Instagram

The Olympian shared 'a little life update' on social media.

Naomi Osaka is going to be a mom!

The tennis star took to Instagram with an ultrasound snapshot, which she posted along with a lengthy note on looking ahead to "a year that'll be full of lessons."

The image displays an on-screen sonogram in what looks to be the room of a medical facility. "Can’t wait to get back on the court but here’s a little life update for 2023," she captioned the upload.

Osaka went on to further explain the current circumstances of her life in the following slides of the gallery, where she typed out her thoughts with white text onto plain black images.

"The past few years have been interesting to say the least, but I find it's the most challenging times in life that may be the most fun," she opened the message to her nearly 3 million followers.

The 25-year-old went on to say she has developed a new found love and appreciation for tennis over the few months she has spent away from the sport.

"I realize that life is so short, and I don't take any moments for granted, everyday is a new blessing and adventure," she wrote, adding that she has "so much to look forward to in the future," one of which is the highlight of a kid watching her matches and exclaiming, "that's my mom."

The pro athlete wrapped up her thoughts with this sentiment: "2023 will be a year that'll be full of lessons for me and I hope I'll see you guys in the start of the next one," noting that she'll be at "Aus 2024," referencing the Australian Open competition.

As an aside, she made sure to point out the encouraging bit that she doesn't think there's "a perfectly correct path to take in life," but always felt that "if you move forward with good intentions, you'll find your way eventually."

Osaka copied the exact message on the third slide in Japanese.

Several famous friends hopped into the comments to tell the mama-to-be "congratulations," including Marsai Martin, Halle Bailey, Pusha T, and Ella Mai.

The athletic community also didn't shy away from sending the tennis star well wishes, with the official accounts of Wimbledon and the Olympics dropping endearing notes along with heart emojis, in addition to track and field gold medalist—and mom, herself—Allyson Felix showing excitement for her pregnancy and motherhood journey.

Osaka has been dating rapper Cordae since 2019. The athlete did not mention the "RNP" artist in her post, however, the musician’s rep confirmed to Billboard that he is, indeed, the father.
