Tennis Champion Sloane Stephens Is Engaged to Soccer Player Jozy Altidore
Tennis champion Sloane Stephens is engaged to soccer player Jozy Altidore, the couple revealed Monday, April 29.
Stephens, 26, took to Instagram to post a smiling snapshot with her new fiance, 29, the forward for Toronto FC and a player on the U.S. national team. “Forever yes,” she captioned the pic.
The couple first started dating in 2016.

“She is somebody who gets everything I am going through without having to say anything,” Altidore told USA Today of Stephens in October 2017. “You look at each other and you kind of know right away if one of you is annoyed. She just kind of gets the mood I’m in, as obviously she lives a very similar kind of life.
Altidore also took to Instagram Monday to post a photo from the sweet moment, writing: “Forever starts now.”
“In that regard it works really well,” he added in the same interview with USA Today. “There is no stress. She is a successful athlete and I do OK, and we just enjoy our time together when we are together.”
