When it comes to skin care annoyances, there is little worse than pesky razor bumps and ingrown hairs. Uncomfortable and sometimes embarrassing, little bumps and burns are common with almost every type of hair removal.
As a shopping editor, I’m lucky to have access to hundreds of beauty products, so when I say I’ve tried it all, I have. And the winner, by a mile, that clears up any and all irritation on my extremely sensitive skin is Tend Skin Solution.
Tend Skin is essentially an aftershave with isopropyl alcohol as its first ingredient. It’s safe for anywhere you remove hair, including your legs, face, bikini line, underarms, chest, etc. Use it whether you shave, wax or prefer electrolysis or laser hair removal.
This solution is gentle enough for even the most delicate skin and easy to use. You can use it before and after hair removal, but I prefer it right after. My routine is usually to exfoliate and shave in the shower, and then, after my skin is dry, put some Tend Skin on a cotton ball and gently wipe it over the areas I shaved. The brand recommends applying Tend Skin morning and night until the area is clear and then daily after hair removal.
Since using Tend Skin, I haven’t had to deal with any redness or irritation, and ingrown hairs are seriously a thing of the past — it’s like magic! If you use it too often, your skin can get a bit dry, but it’s nothing a day off (or a little moisturizer) can’t fix.
