What happens on Temptation Island?
Temptation Island is a reality series on the USA Network in which four couples put their long-term relationships to the test. The couples separate for the duration of filming with the men entering a villa filled with sexy, single women and the women entering a villa filled with sexy, single men. Each attached person then has the chance to go on dates with some of the singles, in an attempt to test their relationships.
Throughout the series, the couples will attend bonfires at which they'll see clips of what their significant others have been up to on the island. At the end of filming, each half of each couple has the option to leave with the partner they came with, pursue a new connection they made on the island or go it alone.
How is Temptation Island Season 5 going to be different?
This season of Temptation Island will have a new twist: the “Temptation Light.” Season 5 of the series will see each villa outfitted with a light that will bathe the entire villa in red to let them know when one of their significant others has “given in to temptation.” But it won't reveal which member of the four couples in the other villa succumbed.

Who is the host of Temptation Island?
The host of Temptation Island is Mark L. Walberg. Yes, that middle initial is especially important to differentiate the host from the famous Bostonian actor of the same name (though their last names are also spelled differently!). Walberg is not just a TV host, he is also a keynote speaker, corporate host and author.
Walberg got his start working as an assistant at Dick Clark Productions before becoming an announcer for the game show Shop ‘Til You Drop. Temptation Island is not his first hosting gig as he has also hosted The Mark Walberg Show, The Moment Of Truth and the original Joe Millionaire. Plus, he notably acted as the host of Antiques Roadshow from 2006 until 2019!
Walberg discussed his approach to hosting Temptation Island with TVInsider in 2021. “The only way I know how to host anything is to bring my authentic self. When I’m sitting across this bonfire with these young people grappling with all these questions and problems, I can’t help but coach them through things based on what I know from my own life. I tell them the advice I give is exactly what they paid for it. I’m a game show host. I’m not a therapist. But I am a husband, a father, a son and all these things. The only thing I can bring to this is I’ve failed more than they’ve tried, so maybe I can help.”

Temptation Island Season 5 will feature four couples looking to put their relationships to the ultimate test. These couples are:
Kaitlin Tufts and Hall Toledano
USA
Kaitlin, 31, and Hall, 35, have been together for an impressive eight years and are even engaged! However, Kaitlin has been holding the relationship at a standstill with her reluctance to set a wedding date. While Hall is ready to take their relationship to the next level and start a family, Kaitlin may not be ready to put her job as a fitness studio owner on the back-burner. They’re looking to see if their relationship gains clarity on the island.
Vanessa Valente and Roberto Mal

Vanessa, 34, and Roberto, 24, are worried their 10-year age gap is something their relationship cannot overcome, especially considering Vanessa has previously been married and is looking to settle down. The two met overseas in Qatar and what they thought was a one-night stand blossomed into a real relationship, with the two even living together. They are looking to see if they can prove they are looking for the same things in life while on the island.
Marisela Figueroa and Christopher Wells

Marisela, 24, and her boyfriend Christopher, 30, have been together for two years. However, Christopher’s past infidelity has made Marisela cautious about taking their relationship to the next level. Christopher will have the ultimate chance to prove his devotion to Marisela on the island.
Leonila "Paris" Pedro and Nzubechukwu "Great" Ezihie
Paris is a 23-year-old Instagram influencer who has been dating her engineer boyfriend Great, 25, for two years. Paris is looking to settle down from their mutual partying ways, but Great is unsure if he’s ready to let the lifestyle go just yet. The island will be the ultimate test.

Temptation Island executive producer David Goldberg shed some light on where the sexy series is filmed this season, with the production settling on the island of Maui in Hawaii for Season 5. However, not all seasons of the series take place in the same location.
