Tell Us About A Great Young Adult Book That Was Done Dirty By Its TV Or Movie Adaptation

There's nothing better than hearing that your favorite YA book is coming to screen as a TV show or movie!

Disney

Sometimes, these adaptations are great — they really stay true to the book, capture the author's vision, and maybe even add more depth to the story.

But other times, book adaptations just end up being SO disappointing.

UPN

Maybe you were super disappointed by Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief because it changed so much, cast actors who were way older than the characters, and just missed the spirit of the books in general.

Perhaps you didn't even finish the TV show adaptation of Looking for Alaska because Alaska just didn't capture the way you had pictured her character.

Or maybe you still haven't forgiven Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials for deviating from the book so, so much.
