If You've Ever Been Backstabbed By Someone You Work With, We Want To Hear What Happened

Look, it's not easy working at a job where you have a sense that a coworker doesn't like you. However, it can be down-right awful when you thought a fellow employee was a friend, and you found out that they did something behind your back or double-crossed you in some way.

Being backstabbed by someone who you thought had your back can make you not only question your reality, but also your relationship with this person — which can cause you to stress out even more at work.

And since this is, unfortunately, more common than we'd like to admit, we want to know if there ever was a time you were backstabbed by a coworker — and how you decided to handle it.

Maybe you thought this person was incredibly thoughtful and honest, but you found out they were saying horrible things behind your back to your boss.

Or maybe you found out that they purposely shared something you told them in confidence with the team, and it cost you a promotion.

Perhaps an incident happened during both of your shifts, and they immediately pointed their finger at you. Or you and them brainstormed a solution to a major work problem, but they took full credit.

Also, aside from the backstab, how did you feel in that moment when you realized what was going on? Did you try to talk with your coworker or fix things in a different way?

If you confronted them, did they regret what they did or double down on their actions? Did things get better after the fact, or did that situation force you to look for another job?

Whatever the situation, tell us a time a coworker backstabbed you and how you decided to handle it. However, if you prefer to remain anonymous, please feel free to use this Google Form instead.
