Perhaps you and your family moved into an old fixer-upper house and began renovations. Within a few weeks, you noticed some unusual activity. Tools and other objects would go missing or be moved from their original places, doors would mysteriously open and close on their own, and you'd sometimes hear the sound of footsteps upstairs while alone in the house. You tried to convince yourself you were just tired and imagining things, until you started hearing voices. One day, you swore you heard a woman talking in the next room, so you ran in to see what was going on. Inside the room, you caught a glimpse of an old woman in the corner. You were so freaked out, you begged your family to move.

Or maybe you were on vacation and staying in an old bed-and-breakfast. You were brushing your teeth before bed one night, and as you looked back up into the mirror after spitting, you saw a man in a suit standing behind you and smiling. You screamed, and your partner came running into the bathroom. You looked back, and the man was gone. You were so shaken up, you didn't sleep the entire night.

Or perhaps your grandma recently passed away, and you were helping to clean our her house. Out of nowhere, you started getting strong whiffs of her perfume. You figured the bottle must've been nearby, and you kept working. Suddenly, the room got really cold, and the TV turned on by itself. You were a little startled, so you called your parents into the room. As they walked in, a music box on one of the shelves began playing. Though it was a little jarring at first, you felt comforted knowing that your grandma was still around and wanted to make her presence known.
