Telfar Is Straight Up Giving Away Free Bags

Telfar definitely knows how to ring in the holidays: The fashion brand founded by Telfar Clemens is giving away its famous Shopping Bags, just in time for gifting season.
Starting Nov. 17 at 12 p.m. ET, any person who buys at least one bag from the brand's site will be able to gift a bag to someone else. There's a catch, though: Customers must submit a video on Nov. 13 between 20 seconds to a minute long talking about who the gift is for. Other requirements? "No scamming!" the site jovially says. "How dare you take advantage of us!" (But seriously.)
Rather than functioning like a buy-one-get-one free deal, customers can only gift one shopping bag, regardless of the style or how many were initially purchased. While the promotion doesn't apply to other categories, like clothing or jewelry, it's unrestricted when it comes to styles of shopping bags — which means anything from the CFDA Award-winning brand's collaborations with the likes of Moose Knuckles and Ugg are available. Also, prices aren't increasing for this promotion, which means a small Shopping Bag still costs $150, a medium $202 and a large $257. The gifts will ship between Nov. 24 and Dec. 15.
There are more specific rules for the "Telfar Gifted" program, which you can read on its website. Clemens went on "The Tamron Hall Show" to talk about the giveaway, and said of the bags: "This was an accessible point in my brand. This is where you enter the brand."
