  • Fashion Nova is suing Tekashi for $2.25 million because he didn't complete his brand ambassador duties and withheld his criminal charges.

Tekashi 6ix9ine might be in jail at the moment, but unfortunately, his legal troubles just keep piling on—the rapper is currently being sued by Fashion Nova for a whopping $2.25 million dollars for failing to complete his brand ambassador duties after signing a contract he allegedly didn’t fulfill.

Here’s the lowdown: According to TMZ, Fashion Nova reached out to Tekashi so he could do a series of brand promotions on his social media pages and in his music. Tekashi accepted the offer and was apparently paid an advance of $225,000 in October 2018 after the deal was finalized.

Fashion Nova’s legal documents claim that literally two weeks after Tekashi was sent his cash advance, he went to jail and obviously couldn't perform his brand ambassador duties. Fashion Nova is also claiming that Tekashi and his team concealed the criminal prosecution from them. Not quite sure if the people at Fashion Nova read the news, but the lawsuit is basically saying they had zero knowledge of Tekashi facing lawsuits before they asked him to assume the brand ambassador role.

Oh, and about that cash advance? Yeahhh, Fashion Nova alleges that Tekashi promised to return the $225,000 to them but failed to do so. Now, he’s being sued for 10 times that. 😬

Unsure of what’s going to happen with this case, but Tekashi likely won’t be dealing with it anytime soon—he still has another four months of his sentence to serve and will be released in August this year.
