Elle Mills, an 18-year-old vlogger from Ottawa, Canada, must have really trusted her best friend, Tavian Palacios. Not only did she grant him the power to choose her very first tattoo, she agreed not to peek at the design until the artist permanently etched it into her skin. What she got was a classic heart on her ankle, which would have been fine - except it has Tavian's Twitter and Instagram handle inked right across the middle of it.

Truth be told, Elle had her doubts all along. In her hilarious vlog about the incident (see below), you can hear Tavian asking beforehand if she's nervous. "Yeah, because you're a bit of an a**hole," she responds.

Nevertheless, Tavian seems like an awesome friend - at first, anyway. To help Elle through the pain, he encourages her to think happy thoughts of Wendy's burgers and Zac Efron.

The happy thoughts abruptly end when Elle finally sees at the finished tattoo. "YOU PUT YOUR HANDLE ON ME?" she asks, clearly stricken at the text reading "@tavianpalacious."

As she storms out of the tattoo parlor, Tavian - who filmed the whole thing - pleads, "Elle, you know I need the followers."

Now that some time has passed, though, Elle is OK with the tattoo. Kinda.

"I wasn't too mad because honestly I would have done the same," she told BuzzFeed News. "It's just the type of friendship we have."

Oh, and not that the world needs any more reminders, but you can follow Tavian on Twitter and Instagram. Don't let Elle's tattoo be in vain.
