The car Trinity Brandasia Harrison was riding in was hit “head on” by another vehicle, local paper The State reports. She died at the hospital early Sunday morning. The 27-year-old driver of the other vehicle was reportedly taken to the hospital and charged with a felony DUI resulting in death.
“We are absolutely heartbroken to learn of last night’s wreck that took the life of Trinity Harrison following her senior prom,” the Greenwood District 50 school board wrote on Facebook. “Many of us knew [her] family well and we cannot imagine the grief and the anguish they are experiencing. Harrison’s grandfather wrote a tribute to his granddaughter on Facebook, saying her “heavenly journey has begun.”
“My dearest granddaughter in your short time here, (18yrs) you have brought so much love, beauty, talent, fun and elegance into our lives and hearts,” Frank Harrison wrote.
