An upstate New York micro-influencer allegedly slit the throat of his teenaged girlfriend, a popular "e-girl" who posted on Instagram about anime and emo-fashion. Then, he shared photos of her body online with the message, "sorry."

According to reports, 17-year-old social media star Bianca Devins had recently graduated high school and had plans to study psychology at a community college in the fall. Her alleged killer is a 21-year-old micro-influencer named Brandon Andrew Clark, according to Buzzfeed. He and Devins attended a concert put on by Canadian musician Nicole Dollenganger the night before the murder, reports Rolling Stone.

Her death was confirmed by local reporters, who spoke with Utica Police:

After images of her body began circulating online early Sunday, Clark reportedly called the cops on himself, according to The New York Post. The outlet also reports that when police found him in his car in Utica, he slit his own throat and posted a photo of his bloody neck to Instagram, too. "Multiple sharp objects” were found at the scene, including a razor and a knife, according to Rolling Stone.

Clark is reportedly being treated for his injuries and expected to survive.

The photos remained on Clark’s Instagram page for several hours and were shared to other sites, including 4chan and Discord, before they were removed. On communication site Discord, Buzzfeed reports that Clark posted a photo of Devins' body, with the caption, "sorry f*ckers, you're going to have to find somebody else to orbit."

According to the outlet, the phrase find somebody else to orbit, is in reference to the, "men's rights movement and its red pill theory's concept of beta orbiter, which describes low-value men who spend time with women they're secretly in love with."

Police confirmed the authenticity of the circulating images to Rolling Stone.

Clark's Instagram account @yesjuliet had 3,000 followers before it was taken down, and mostly contained selfies, gym pics, and content about metal music. According to Buzzfeed, before the alleged attack took place, Clark posted a picture from the movie Fight Club and a photo from his car, with the caption, "Here comes Hell. It's redemption, right?"

An Instagram page with photos of Devins is still active and currently has over 60,000 followers. According to local television station WKTV, a candlelight vigil will be held Monday night to honor her. Her high school confirmed her death in a statement given to the station: "The Utica City School District community is saddened to learn about the tragic and untimely passing of one of our 2019 graduates, Bianca Devins. We share our deepest heartfelt condolences with her family and loved ones. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this very difficult time."

“She was a sweet person, very caring,” her friend told Rolling Stone. “She always tried to make people feel good, feel loved, helped them when they were down even if she was going through her own sh*t.”
