Teen Choice Awards 2018: Normani Wore a Tommy Hilfiger Gown

And somehow managed to make a potential wardrobe malfunction look chic.

Leave it to Normani to take what some might call a "wardrobe malfunction" — aka showing off your undies on the red carpet — and make it look chic.

The Fifth Harmony singer hit the red carpet at the 2018 Teen Choice Awards wearing what can best be described as "ballgown pajamas." Her red plaid Tommy Hilfiger skirt had a waistband similar to that of a pair of boxers and boasted a slit so high that it allowed her black briefs to peak out from underneath. She paired the skirt with a black mesh cropped tube top, strappy rhinestone sandals, and dangly earrings, and we'd go ahead and say she certainly won the award for "Most Creative Look" at this year's event.

Her statement making didn't just stop with her outfit — it extended to her beauty choices, too. Normani served serious looks with her hair pulled into a sleek high ponytail that stretched down to her waist, nude makeup and an ultra-glossy lip.

Ahead of the show, she took to the streets for an impromptu photo shoot, showing off the modeling skills she's picked up since leaving Fifth Harmony. "good form," she captioned a photo of herself posing in front of a steel gate.
