A 19-year-old Texan who plans to cook and clean for her future husband, was sent packing by Twitter for her anti-feminist and “old fashioned” views.

Brylea Langley of Tyler started a gender war with a June 10th tweet: “I was raised to take care of my husband make his plate every night, wash his work clothes for him, make sure he’s up for work the next morning, always have a clean house for him to come home to, etc. and that’s exactly wife I will be.”

When her tweet soured, Langley wrote, “My momma has been doin’ it for over 20 years now, that’s what I saw growing up and that’s what I believe is right.”

Responders said Langley would be enslaved to her future spouse and suggested she was brainwashed. A husband tweeted that while Langley’s vision sounded majestic at first, it was too retro for his comfort level.

But Langley’s tweet was affirming for many stay-at-home wives, who said traditional gender roles make for a happy marriage.

Langley’s choices are modern, said some, because her choices suit her values.

Yahoo Lifestyle could not reach Langley for comment. She explained to Inside Edition, “I stated my personal opinion on how I will treat my own marriage! Honestly, I wasn’t exactly expecting to get much reaction on it at all because it was my personal opinion.”

“I understand that everyone has them,” she told the site. “I was amazed at some of the responses I had gotten from people slamming me, but I did also have a few people supporting me also.”

Langley will, in fact, contribute to her marriage and household as a working woman. “I’m going into nursing school, I’ll have a career and i’ll be able to take care of my own just fine,” she tweeted. “I was just saying these are the kind of gestures i will be doing for my husband to show my own appreciation for him. nowhere in any of that did i claim to want to be a housewife.”

And Langley’s boyfriend is content with her future role. “I’m finally being appreciated the right away by a good-hearted man and things are only looking up from here,” she tweeted.
