Brett Goldstein revealed to Parade one character he'd like to see get a spinoff, but will it happen?
Football is life—so you better believe we're hoping for more Ted Lasso past Season 3.
While the third season of the Apple TV+ series has not yet been confirmed to be its last, co-creator and star Jason Sudeikis has said it "is the end of this story" that they wanted to tell.
Channing Dungey, Chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Television Group, previously told Deadline that Season 3—which premiered on March 15—"ends beautifully" and that "if that is all we do in the Ted Lasso universe, I think the fans will be really happy and excited. But there’s also a way to crack open a door. If we’re fortunate enough to do more, we can keep on going.”

Although Dungey thinks doing a spinoff for a spinoff’s sake is "usually where you fall into some problems," she pointed out that "Young Sheldon is a perfect example of being able to create a spinoff of a universe that actually does work because you have a character at the center and a different way of looking at that universe than what was there before."

What Jason Sudeikis has said about Ted Lasso spinoffs
The Golden Globe winner, who plays the title character on the hit series, has told Deadline that he thinks "we’ve set the table for all sorts of folks…to get to watch the further telling of these stories.”
“Again, I can’t help but take the question as flattery for what all of us that were working on the show has tried to do. It’s really kind of folks to even consider that because you never know what’s gonna happen when you make things," Sudeikis said. "The fact that people want more, even if it’s a different avenue is lovely.”

What Brett Goldstein has said about Ted Lasso spinoffs
Speaking to Parade in an exclusive interview, Brett Goldstein, who plays Roy Kent, revealed one Ted Lasso character who he'd like to see get their own spinoff.
"The guy who lives under the tunnel that you see in 'Beard After Hours,' who protects the door. I would like to see more of what his life is under that tunnel," Goldstein told Parade, adding with a laugh, "I think he's the clear breakout character if you read enough of the blogs and stuff."
Fan will recall in Season 2's "Beard After Hours" episode, Coach Beard sent AFC Richmond fans Baz, Jeremy, and Paul to an address and told them to tell "Renee" that he "said it was okay." Renee ended up leading the trio through a tunnel to Nelson Road.

What Hannah Waddingham has said about Ted Lasso spinoffs
Hannah Waddingham, who plays Rebecca, had her own idea for a spinoff during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "I would like an entire spinoff series with Higgins, Keeley and Rebecca just sitting in the stands of various football stadiums around the world being three Muppet d**kheads," she jokingly said. "Just banter."

What Brendan Hunt has said about Ted Lasso spinoffs
Like Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt has told Deadline that Season 3 is "likely the end of this story," but "it’s not necessarily the end of the series." Hunt, who developed the show along with Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence and Joe Kelly, said, “We never even knew for sure we’d be able to tell all three parts—and suddenly, here we are. So, there will be some type of closure to this beat but closure is not necessarily the end.”
In an interview with Yahoo Canada, the Coach Beard actor revealed that "everything is on the table," though they are "not going to decide anytime soon.”
“We’re going to let this thing land, we're all going to go our separate ways for a little bit," Hunt shared. "We're going to reintroduce ourselves to the local institutions of our neighbourhoods and communities that we have been so neglectful of these past few years. After that all settled down, then we'll come back together and we'll figure out what's going to happen next, if anything.”
