Following up from his hit The Harder They Fall, Jeymes Samuel is back with The Book of Clarence, the story of a down-on-his-luck Jerusalemite who embarks on a misguided attempt to capitalize on the rise of celebrity and influence the Messiah for his own personal gain. The journey leads him on an exploration of faith and an unexpected path.
The film stars LaKeith Stanfield, David Oyelowo, Omar Sky, Alfre Woodard, Anna Diop, RJ Cyler, Caleb McLaughlin, Michael Ward, Teyana Taylor, Babs Olusanmokun, Benedict Cumberbatch and James McAvoy. It will also feature new music from the film's writer/director, Jeymes Samuel, as well as Jay-Z.
Ebony Magazine shared the teaser for the film on Twitter. Looking to be an epic with a twist, The Book of Clarence features the style Samuel established in The Harder They Fall.
