Team Congo is hosting ‘Workout Barbie Fun Run’

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WJMN) – Team Congo from Dancing with our Stars is hosting a Workout Barbie Fun Run on May 11th.

“So, this is actually our last event for the whole fundraising bit for Dancing with our Stars,” said Mariel Morton, Team Congo. “There are still tickets for Wednesday’s opening night show so if you can snag those and get your hands on them cause they are going to go quick. Otherwise, I mean we appreciate everyone that has come and supported us thus far and excited to finally shimmy and shake on stage.”

The race will begin and end at Congress Pizzas in Ishpeming. The race route will follow the Iron Ore Heritage Trail to the Ramba Trailhead, and head back towards town. Registration will begin at 3:30pm, and the race fee is $30. The First 150 participants to finish their race will receive a “Team Congo” can koozie.
