  • Tayshia Adams may replace Clare Crawley as the new Bachelorette in 2020.

  • Reddit spoilers have alleged this is happening, and Reality Steve said “there is some serious validity” to the rumors.

  • Here's everything you need to know about Tayshia Adams and her history in Bachelor Nation.

Fact: Tayshia Adams is taking over the lead role on The Bachelorette from Clare Crawley. The latest promo for the season even showed Tayshia walking out of a pool in a bikini after clips revealing all the drama that is to come surrounding Clare and her clearly being into Dale Moss—and only Dale Moss. An ABC executive even confirmed it. Buuut Tayshia is still being coy about the whole thing.

Two days after the promo sent (semi-expected) shockwaves through Bachelor Nation, the topic of Tayshia clearly being the next Bachelorette came up on her Click Bait podcast, but Tayshia totally downplayed it.

"Did you not see yourself on The Bachelorette, coming out of the pool, looking all hot, looking like Halle Berry?" co-host Hannah Ann Sluss said. "I thought we were friends, you could have given me a forewarning." Joe Amabile also talked about how gorgeous Tayshia looked in the promo.

"I don’t know what you guys were talking about, all I know is that I love Palm Springs, I love La Quinta, I vacation there," Tayshia replied. "It was summer, it was hot, it was a pool. I was just swimming around." Sure, Tayshia, sure.

ABC exec Robert Mills also went on Nick Viall’s The Viall Files podcast this week and said they knew Clare had to go after she refused to give a rose out on her group date on Tuesday’s episode. "When she didn’t give out that rose and she just gave it to herself, that was it," Mills said. "That was really it, when we started making the call [to bring in someone else]."

Mills said that Tayshia "will be part of the season starting next week. …This is where, as Chris Harrison says, The Bachelorette will blow up."

But renowned Bachelor spoilers blogger Reality Steve says Mills' comments that producers waited to bring in Tayshia until that date are "flat out untrue." He tweeted, "They are selling you a lie. If you honestly think they didn’t make the call to Tayshia until Clare decided not to give that group date rose, her last date of the season by the way, you need to wake up. The timeline doesn’t even work in that scenario."

Steve also said this in another tweet: "Tayshia wasn’t on standby 'in case.' This wasn’t a COVID thing. But I’m not going to compromise sources just so people who don’t wanna believe it can be appeased. This was planned before the season started." Wait, WHAT?

There's a lot to unpack there, and so much still seems up in the air. But in the meantime, back to Tayshia!

Well, Tayshia's already spilled a li'l tea on her season—while still trying to play coy.

On Thursday, Nov. 5, Tayshia went on an episode of the "Clickbait" podcast and gave a few details about what the experience was like for her.

"All I know is that I was… I had a busy summer," she told co-hosts Joe and Hannah Ann. "I don’t know! I have nothing to tell you. …Apparently, we’re gonna get a new Bachelorette. I’m excited to see who steps out that limo!" (Likely story, Tayshia.)

But when asked by Hannah Ann if she was attracted to any of the guys, Tayshia added that there were a few that were "really hot."

"Honestly, y’all, all the guys are really hot. Don’t you think?" she said.

Hannah Ann responded, "There’s, like, a few, but I don’t know. Maybe I had higher expectations."

"I can see that, but also, I also feel like we haven’t seen a lot of the guys. We’ve seen a selected few. We haven’t really seen their personalities. We haven’t really seen anything yet," Tayshia said. "It’s really been all about Clare and Dale and seeing their love story. I’m really happy for them, but it’s gonna be really fun to see if these guys open up and if you see more about them!"

As if that weren't enough, Tayshia also shared this **interesting** post last Wednesday, Oct. 27.

Tayshia's caption reads, "You rang?" Let's be real, that's a not-so-subtle nod to answering the call to become the next Bachelorette.

Hold up: When did the rumor about Tayshia being the next Bachelorette start?

The whole thing began with a Reddit post that claimed to be a "Clare season spoiler." The post, which was written by someone who claims to own a Bachelor spoiler account, says that they heard that there are "a lot of problems" with Clare during filming. "Among other things, she cancelled everything that was supposed to happen on that Saturday before, and they called in a new Bachelorette," the OP wrote. Apparently, Bachelor producers decided to recast The Bachelorette with Tayshia as the lead. "Tayshia is already quarantining at the hotel," they wrote.

Then, Life & Style ran an article that alleged Clare fell in love with one of the contestants on her season. "She told producers she no longer wanted to participate in the show" because she had "already fallen in love" with contestant Dale Moss, a source told the magazine. This all (allegedly) happened after just 12 days of filming.

Cut on over to Bachelor spoilers god Reality Steve, who says "there is some serious validity" to the rumors, based on what he’s heard. He then did a two-hour Instagram Live (which someone helpfully recapped on Reddit), where he said that there’s a lot of speculation going on. However, he is "certain" Tayshia is at the resort where The Bachelorette is filming. So…that’s where things stand now.

But, who is Tayshia Adams again? Here’s what you need to know about the reality TV star.

Tayshia is a phlebotomist.

In case you’re not familiar with it, that means she draws and prepares blood for testing.

She was on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor.

Bachelor Nation first met Tayshia when she competed for Colton’s heart. Tayshia was the super chill girl who didn’t get involved in drama, but also wasn’t afraid to call things like she saw it. It looked like she and Colton might end up together, but he ended up ditching both her and Hannah Godwin to pursue Cassie Randolph, who had already left the show.

She handled her breakup with Colton like a champ.

When Colton first showed up to Tayshia’s place during Bachelor filming to tell her he was in love with someone else, she handled it like a champ. She comforted him and repeatedly told him that it was okay, even though he was totally dumping her.

Tayshia found love on Bachelor in Paradise, but it didn’t last.

Tayshia went on BiP after her breakup with Colton and ended up getting close with John Paul Jones, from Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette. Tayshia broke up with JPJ in Paradise, but the two later reconnected and started dating again. Unfortunately, it didn’t last, and the two broke up six weeks after the BiP reunion.

"I know you guys have been asking about John and I recently, and as much as I like to keep my personal life private, I realize you have all watched and been a part of our journey from the beginning. Therefore, to stay true to that, I need to be open and honest with you in order to heal and move on," Tayshia wrote in an Instagram post that’s since been removed. "John and I had something incredibly special. We fell for each other in Paradise, and everything was a whirlwind after that. When the show ended, I truly went back to Maryland to see if what we had was something we could build on without cameras, a production crew, and without feeling any pressure: to simply figure things out on our own terms." The two tried to make it work, but "living on opposite coasts, and working insane schedules" didn’t help. So, they broke up.

Tayshia once had to relearn to walk after a car accident.

In October 2020 on her new podcast "Click Bait with Bachelor Nation", Tayshia shared that she was hit by a truck and had to relearn to walk during her freshman year of college. Tayshia said she was getting Skittles out of a vending machine when it all went down. "As I’m pushing the buttons to get my Skittles, I hear music," she said. "Whenever I hear music I start dancing, and I see it’s my friend’s truck. I went out to go talk to them. I’m hanging on the window talking to them. They take my Skittles. Next thing you know, I’m like, 'I’m gonna go. Have fun at the party,' so I hop over the window to grab my Skittles back and I’m hanging on the truck."

"I was like, 'This is kinda fun' and the guy said, 'I got you! We’re going!' I was like, 'OK, I’m going,' and my friend Charlie said, 'No, it’s fine. We got you,'" she recalled. "Anyway, the guy is holding onto me, the driver hits the gas. There’s a little yellow speed bump and I’m in the truck and I pop off and my body’s hanging off the truck. The back truck tire goes over my leg."

Tayshia said she ended up suffering from a fractured pelvis. She was hospitalized for two weeks and had to "relearn how to walk."

She added that it "ended my running career" and her recovery was long. "I had to move my college dorm room," Tayshia said. "I had a walker in college. I didn’t have a boyfriend my first year, I’ll tell you that much."

She’s tight with her family.

Tayshia recently shared a series of sweet snaps on Instagram of herself alongside her brother at a winery. "Wine’n down with the fam!🌻🍷," she wrote in the caption.

People low-key freaked about Tayshia’s Bachelor-level-gorgeous brother in the comments. "Hi does he need a wife?" one person wrote. "Hot brother check," another said.

Tayshia also shared a really sweet Instagram post dedicated to her mom on Mother’s Day. "Happy Mother’s Day to my #1!!! I literally couldn’t function without you," she wrote in the caption. "I aspire to be everything you are. The classiest, sweetest, most generous God loving woman with a side of fire & spice ;) I LOVE YOU MOMMA, to the moon & back & then some✨🤍😘."

Lately, she’s been doing the Instagram influencer thing.

It’s unclear if Tayshia is still working in her old job, but either way, she’s also had her fair share of Instagram spon-con these days.

And that includes encouraging her fans to vote.

In her latest Instagram post, Tayshia shared a super cute video that showed her dancing to Moby’s "Flower" while on her way to send in her ballot via mail.

"I am so proud to have the privilege to Vote. I want change, I want equal human rights, I want to improve the future of this country for my future children, and because I have a right to make an impact and so do you ! VOTE 🇺🇸 ❤️🤍💙" she captioned the post.
