  • Tayshia Adams may replace Clare Crawley as the new Bachelorette in 2020.

  • Reddit spoilers have alleged this is happening, and Reality Steve said "there is some serious validity" to the rumors.

  • Here's everything you need to know about Tayshia Adams and her history in Bachelor Nation.

If you’ve been following the alleged BTS drama that is The Bachelorette, you might have heard a super juicy rumor that Clare Crawley is quitting her season of The Bachelorette and that she’s being replaced by Tayshia Adams.

Tayshia’s Instagram actions have kinda-totally spoken volumes. She normally posts a bunch on social media, but hasn’t shared **anything** since rolling out a spon-con post for Smirnoff in August that, for the record, could have been scheduled to post way in advance.

As you probably know, Bachelorette and Bachelor contestants and leads generally give up their phone and all other access to the interwebs during filming. So…things are definitely looking affirmative with the whole Tayshia-as-Bachelorette rumors.

To add fuel to these rumors, Tayshia just casually returned to Instagram Stories on Thursday, September 10, like it was NBD. First, she shared a pic of herself with the message, "Hiiiii, it’s been a minute!"

Then, she shared a video of someone pouring Tayshia a glass of wine while she says "yum!" in the background. "Nothing like being home," she wrote, tagging the restaurant Nobu Newport Beach. (Now, why would she write "nothing like being home" if she hadn't been home for a while? Hmmm...)

Then, she shared a clip of herself with a yummy-looking plate of oysters and a glass of wine, writing, "all day, errr day." Finally, she shared a clip of someone drinking a glass of wine across from her, writing, "my best friend > yours."

An-y-way.... so, yeah, Tayshia’s been away—at least for a month, if not longer. While that might not seem like enough time to meet someone and fall in love, it’s entirely possible in Bachelorette world. Also, she could be on a break from filming.

Worth noting: Tayshia’s BFF is wearing a sweater in her Instagram Stories, and Weather.com says temps have been in the high 70s in the area lately which is slightly suspect. Or maybe her friend just gets cold easily? IDK.

Hold up: When did the rumor about Tayshia being the next Bachelorette start?

The whole thing began with a Reddit post that claimed to be a "Clare season spoiler." The post, which was written by someone who claims to own a Bachelor spoiler account, says that they heard that there are "a lot of problems" with Clare during filming. "Among other things, she cancelled everything that was supposed to happen on that Saturday before, and they called in a new Bachelorette," the OP wrote. Apparently, Bachelor producers decided to recast The Bachelorette with Tayshia as the lead. "Tayshia is already quarantining at the hotel," they wrote.

Then, Life & Style ran an article that alleged Clare fell in love with one of the contestants on her season. "She told producers she no longer wanted to participate in the show" because she had "already fallen in love" with contestant Dale Moss, a source told the magazine. This all (allegedly) happened after just 12 days of filming.

Cut on over to Bachelor spoilers god Reality Steve, who says "there is some serious validity" to the rumors, based on what he’s heard. He then did a two-hour Instagram Live (which someone helpfully recapped on Reddit), where he said that there’s a lot of speculation going on. However, he is "certain" Tayshia is at the resort where The Bachelorette is filming. So…that’s where things stand now.

But, who is Tayshia Adams again? Here’s what you need to know about the reality TV star.

Tayshia is a phlebotomist.

In case you’re not familiar with it, that means she draws and prepares blood for testing.

She was on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor.

Bachelor Nation first met Tayshia when she competed for Colton’s heart. Tayshia was the super chill girl who didn’t get involved in drama, but also wasn’t afraid to call things like she saw it. It looked like she and Colton might end up together, but he ended up ditching both her and Hannah Godwin to pursue Cassie Randolph, who had already left the show.

She handled her breakup with Colton like a champ.

When Colton first showed up to Tayshia’s place during Bachelor filming to tell her he was in love with someone else, she handled it like a champ. She comforted him and repeatedly told him that it was okay, even though he was totally dumping her.

Tayshia found love on Bachelor in Paradise, but it didn’t last.

Tayshia went on BiP after her breakup with Colton and ended up getting close with John Paul Jones, from Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette. Tayshia broke up with JPJ in Paradise, but the two later reconnected and started dating again. Unfortunately, it didn’t last, and the two broke up six weeks after the BiP reunion.

"I know you guys have been asking about John and I recently, and as much as I like to keep my personal life private, I realize you have all watched and been a part of our journey from the beginning. Therefore, to stay true to that, I need to be open and honest with you in order to heal and move on," Tayshia wrote in an Instagram post that’s since been removed. "John and I had something incredibly special. We fell for each other in Paradise, and everything was a whirlwind after that. When the show ended, I truly went back to Maryland to see if what we had was something we could build on without cameras, a production crew, and without feeling any pressure: to simply figure things out on our own terms." The two tried to make it work, but "living on opposite coasts, and working insane schedules" didn’t help. So, they broke up.

She’s been doing the Instagram influencer thing lately.

It’s unclear if Tayshia is still working in her old job, but either way, she’s also had her fair share of Instagram spon-con these days.

Tayshia as the next Bachelorette? Here. For. It.
