Taylor Swift’s Publicist, Tree Paine, Just Clapped TF Back at Kim Kardashian on Twitter

• Taylor Swift’s publicist, Tree Paine, just clapped back at Kim Kardashian.

• Kim went on a Twitter rant about Taylor Swift, accusing her of lying about her leaked phone call with Kanye West.

Good morning, hi, there’s a lot of celebrity drama for you to catch up on. (1) Taylor Swift finally responded to the new leaked video of her phone call with Kanye West. (2) Kim Kardashian went off on an epically long Twitter rant, calling Taylor a liar. And (3) on top of all that, it looks like Taylor’s publicist, Tree Paine, is out here clapping back at Kim. Which, fair, considering Kim low-key name-checked her in the middle of said Twitter rant, claiming that she lied on behalf of Tay.

“To be clear, the only issue I ever had around the situation was that Taylor lied through her publicist, who stated that ‘Kanye never called to ask for permission,’” Kim tweeted. “They clearly spoke so I let you all see that. Nobody ever denied the word ‘bitch’ was used without her permission.”

Guess Tree saw this tweet, because she responded with, “I’m Taylor’s publicist and this is my UNEDITED original statement. Btw, when you take parts out, that’s editing. P.S. Who did you guys piss off to leak that video?”

Tree’s full statement reads, “Kanye did not call for approval but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric ‘I made that bitch famous.’”

Kim doesn’t appear to have responded to Tree, and considering she ended her Twitter rant with, “This will be the last time I speak on this because honestly, nobody cares,” chances are she won’t.
