Taylor Swift's Ex Joe Alwyn Makes First Red Carpet Appearance in Months

It must have been a cruel summer for Joe Alwyn.
The 32-year-old English actor–who was linked to Taylor Swift for nearly six years–made his first public appearance in six months on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at the GQ Men of the Year Awards held at the Royal Opera House in London.
Alwyn looked dapper for the occasion as he paired black trousers with a double-breasted leather-style jacket, a crisp white dress shirt, black tie and black leather boots.
He parted his signature blonde locks to the side and completed the stylish look with a leather watch on one wrist and silver bracelet on the other.

Prior to this most recent sighting, Alwyn's last public appearance was this past spring, when he attended a Celine dinner at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in France during the Cannes Film Festival in May. Before that, he was seen front row with a guest at the Emporio Armani fashion show during the Milan Menswear Fall/Winter 2023/2024 in January. But the last time he was on a red carpet? Well, that was this time last year, during the Gotham Awards in Nov. 2022.
While Alwyn has appeared to be a little camera shy since he and Swift went their separate ways in April, he was all smiles in this latest sighting. Meanwhile, his ex-girlfriend has been spotted joyfully attending a multitude of big events–like the MTV Music Video Awards–and, more recently, photographed on the arm of her new beau, Travis Kelce.
Neither the "Blank Space" songstress nor the Harriet actor have publicly detailed why they broke up, but fans certainly have their theories. Given how happy Swift looks with Kelce (and rumors that their parents have officially set a date to meet), the public may have to rely on the "Easter Eggs" in Swift's yet-to-be-released music to stitch it all together.
