Taylor Swift's Cat 'Olivia Benson' Is Worth More Money Than Travis Kelce

As if we need another reason for men to complain about how Taylor Swift has absolutely destroyed the beloved American past time of drinking beer and watching football. Mainly by her, you know, watching football, a news report out today claims that her adorable Scottish Fold cat named 'Olivia Benson' is worth more money than Taylor's sweet baboo, Travis Kelce.

Hear that? It's the sound of a gazillion football fan bruhs crying about a pet cat.

The BBC reports, "Taylor Swift is worth an estimated $1bn dollars  and her cats aren't doing too poorly, either: According to Cats.com, Swift's cat, named Olivia Benson, after Mariska Hargitay’s Law and Order: SVU character, is worth an estimated $97m. That's more than Swift's much-discussed beau Travis Kelce's estimated net worth of $40m.

I don't know about y'all, but I think we are all in the wrong line of work because we aren't football players or cats.

This all sort of needs to be taken with a healthy grain of catnip, because as the BBC also reports, Financial advisor Travis Brown who is both a securities agent and an investment advisor, tells the BBC that while coming up with someone's net worth should be straightforward using a "simple calculation of assets minus liabilities", it's challenging for outsiders because that information is usually kept private. Calculating a celebrity's net worth, or their pet's, would require a good deal of guesswork – because outside of the celebrity's own financial advisors or attorneys, no one is going to have the detailed financial records necessary to make that calculation, Brown explains.

Plus, I am 100 percent not positive that Taylor's cat Olivia is very good at math.

All About Taylor Swift's Cats

Swift's first famous cat is a Scottish Fold named Meredith Grey.

Olivia Benson, was obtained in June 2014 as a little kitten. The Scottish Fold, has appeared in TV commercials and in Swift's music videos for Blank Space and Me!

Swift got her third cat, Benjamin Button, in 2019. She also met this cat on the set of the music video for Me! and Benjamin was the cat who joined Taylor on the cover of TIME in December 2023.
