Taylor Swift's Birthday Nails Are a Sparkly Dream

They perfectly matched her mini dress.

Happy Taylor Swift Day to all who celebrate! On December 13, the megastar celebrated her 34th birthday in New York City with the company of Blake Lively, Miles Teller, Sabrina Carpenter, and more. Though, that wasn’t the first of her festivities—the night before, Swift was spotted out with Selena Gomez for an early celebration wearing a glittery eyeshadow look. However, on her actual big day, she moved all the sparkle to her nails.

While joined by her closest friends for what the internet speculates was a huge extravaganza masterminded by Travis Kelce, Swift stuck to what makes her feel best—bright cherry lips, a little black dress, and a fun yet simple manicure. The last of which being out favorite part of the ensemble.

In typical Taylor fashion, her nails were short and naturally shaped—all the better to play guitar with. Each of her nails matched with the same ultra-shiny silver shade. Not so much a chrome and not a plain sparkly gray, the polish she used had large chunks of glitter creating the shiny effect. She painted the color on light, allowing some of her nail bed to peek through, finishing it off with a high-shine top coat. 

The makeup look she paired it with couldn't be more classic Taylor. Her skin was luminous, with a light touch of blush on her cheeks that gave her a frost-bitten flush. Her lips were the classic red shade that is synonymous with the star, and the eyes finished off her glam. On top of a light touch of black eyeliner and wispy black lashes, she wore the lightest touch of silver glitter.

Her outfit tied everything together. The first layer of her look was a shimmery little black dress by Clio Peppiatt. Fitted with a small slit on the side of her right leg, the entire garment was studded in black and silver gemstones in the shape of clouds, a crescent moon, and stars scattered across her body.

She accessorized the piece with a black fur coat, some open-toed black heels, a silver necklace, silver paper clip-style earrings, and a shimmering silver purse the same hue as her nails. Of course, she also quaffed her bangs to the side and let her slightly wavy hair flow free in the winter winds.
