Taylor Swift Wore Taylor Swift Merchandise Because She’s Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift knew that too much Taylor Swift wasn’t good for the Taylor Swift brand, so she took a step back from the spotlight, ceased welcoming random comedians and Friends cast members to perform onstage during her 1989 tour, and stepping out with her squad in tow. So it seems that businesswoman Taylor Swift, the president of Taylor Swift, Inc., put together a re-entry plan. First, after a few weeks of touring abroad in non-English speaking countries and staying quiet on social media, she posted a picstich on Instagram for girl gang member Lily Aldridge’s birthday. Next, she flew back to the United States to get captured by the waiting paparazzi.

But the 25-year-old, no stranger to street style photographers capturing her crop top ensembles and Jackie Onassis-inspired outfits, planned this photo opp out perfectly to get her name back in the news and boost sales of Taylor Swift © merchandise. The “Shake It Off” singer walked from baggage claim to her waiting car wearing a black T-shirt dress with the letters of her name scrambled (which calls to mind a Mary Katrantzou romper she wore on the red carpet before) with a button-down bottom and attached jersey sleeves tied in the front. The piece is basically the cotton knockoff version of an Alexander Wang piece covered with Swift’s name.

The item can be purchased on T-mall.com, but be sure to have the page translated before putting in your credit card information. The Chinese e-commerce site is offering it for ¥ 429.00 or $67, and not a word on the site is in English. Supplies are limited, because she’s a big deal in Asia, too, but there are other styles as well. For example, there’s a T-shirt dress with a gauze hemline with the names of all her hits on it in metallic writing; an oversized sweatshirt with “TAYLOR SWIFT” in big block letters, leggings, and long-sleeve shirts with her face screen-printed on them. There’s even apparel just for men, my favorite being this “Shake It Off” checklist tee.

So if you want to dress like Kylie Jenner while showing your appreciation for Taylor Swift, you know where to show. But buyer beware!
