Now that you, your friends, your family, and your situationship who secretly became a Swiftie in these past few weeks knows, Miss Americana Taylor Swift is out here attending football games like they're Via Carota friend dinners, which begs the question...will she be making it out to Minnesota to attend her third consecutive Chiefs game in support of Travis Kelce on Sunday?!?!? The answer? We're not quite sure, tbh! But what we *do* know is that there are two people who definitely wanna make sure the singer makes an appearance in the North Star State this weekend—one of them being Vikings cornerback Byron Murphy.

Byron revealed to ESPN on Monday (per the New York Post) that his team has every intention of targeting Travis should Taylor attend Sunday’s matchup in Minnesota during an interview with the sports network. “Oh man, the social media is going crazy,” the cornerback initially said when asked about the Taylor/Travis (Tayvis?) storyline. “And I’m not hating against it. That’s the world we’re living in.”

Then, when switching to the topic of a potential guest appearance from the singer, Byron confessed, “We’re locked in, but that would be something. I’ve been watching her since I was a kid. That would be cool, for sure.” “Not for him,” the athlete added, referring to the tight end, whom he clearly has different sentiments about. “Because we’re going to try to get our hands on him in front of her...I’m going to say something to him to get him going.” Well! Then!

Also on the list of people excited to potentially host Tay in Minnesota? *Checks notes* Mayor Jacob Frey, who dished to TMZ that he and the rest of the city are ready to welcome the celeb this upcoming Sunday for the game. “We know all too well the positive impact Taylor Swift has on the cities she visits—Minneapolis is no exception,” Frey dished to the outlet before recalling her most recent tour stop in the city earlier this year.

“Her two, sold-out concerts at U.S. Bank Stadium in June led to a record-setting tourism weekend including booked-up hotels and packed downtown restaurants...boosting our local economy beyond our wildest dreams,” he gushed. Clearly, Swifties ties run deep. Like, all the way down to the literal government kinda deep, but I'm not mad about it!

That said the mayor's loyalty obvi lies with Minneapolis, so it wasn't surprising that he *also* said that, “If Taylor chooses to come back to Minneapolis this weekend, we’ll be ready for it. It’s possible she will have to console Travis Kelce after the Vikings beat the Chiefs, but there are plenty of great spots across town for them to go on a date and lift their spirits!” *Le sigh* Luckily, we're willing to forgive him because despite the jab, he manages to weave in legit so many of the singer's tracks into his statements that I might low-key give him a ring when I'm stuck in a creative rut. 😂

So there you have it, folks! Sadly, Tay's appearance at this Sunday's game is TBD, but at least she seems to be in L-O-V-E!
