Taylor Swift Shares "Red (Taylor's Version)" Vault Track Puzzle for Fans

It's been awhile since Taylor Swift unleashed one of her signature perplexing puzzles, but don't worry, Swifties — your queen is back with a new challenge that requires some serious code-cracking.

Taylor, who is gearing up for the release of her re-recording of the album Red, shared an Instagram video of the aforementioned puzzle with a broad and bold wink to her fans. "Presses post cackles maniacally Level: casually cruel in the name of being honest," Taylor wrote in her caption. The video, which is coincidentally (or not-so-coincidentally) red in tone, features a vault releasing a jumble of letters as leaves fall. The leaves make sense — we know that Red is coming in the fall, on November 19. But what on earth are these letters all about? We see "OEHROIJLSCNNS," "TVFSHPTBEULZO," "NOTELPATSIEEV" and more fly past the screen.

The vault is a great clue; these letters seem to be clues about the songs from the Red vault that will get their moment in the spotlight when the album drops. Taylor has previously said she wrote 30 songs for the album. “This will be the first time you hear all 30 songs that were meant to go on Red. And hey, one of them is even ten minutes long," she shared in June.

Luckily for us, Twitter Swifties and Redditors alike have already started cracking the case. Some believe that the letters are a crossword puzzle or a word search. Others see "MEBRIDGERSKOE" as a hint that musician Phoebe Bridgers may make an appearance on the album. "I can see Ronan, Better, You, Nights and Bridgers but can’t make out anything else," wrote user @campaignproblems. Others have seen "Sheeran" and "Stapleton," AKA Ed and Chris, respectively. "Better" and "Man" are also included, likely a reference to her collaboration with country's Little Big Town.

Twitter-based Swifties also got to work right away. "Of course @taylorswift13 would have us intensely completely a 13x13 word search puzzle at 9am. Of course she would," wrote one, who literally handwrote the clues in effort to figure out Taylor's secret message. Others used Taylor's own words against her as they tried to solve the puzzle. "Not you giving us these random letters to decode as a crossword puzzle but there’s no right answers because 'Fighting with him was like trying to solve a crossword and realizing there’s no right answer'," tweeted a frustrated fan.

So what is the truth, Taylor? Will we get a completed track list anytime soon for Red (Taylor's Version)? Is this a wild goose chase or should we continue staying hyped for the 10-minute "All Too Well" and maybe a potential collab with Phoebe Bridgers? Regardless of what Taylor's got up her sleeve, we know one thing is true — it will definitely be worth the wait.
