Taylor Swift

Shortly after Taylor Swift's team threatened to take legal action against a college student who ran social media accounts tracking her jet travels, Swift sold one of her jets, a Dassault Falcon 900, to a company called Triangle Real Estate LLC in Missouri.

After owning her N898TS jet for years, it is now registered to the new company with a temporary certificate issued on Feb. 6, as seen on the FAA registry. It is unclear how much the company paid to purchase the aircraft.

Swift still owns her larger jet, a Dassault Falcon 7X, which is designed for longer flights. There are conflicting reports on when she first purchased the recently-sold Dassault Falcon 900, but it appeared to be sometime between 2009 and 2011, with a price tag of $40 million. It's possible that she will replace the Falcon 900 with a new jet, or stick with her single aircraft for now.

The sale of one of Swift's jets comes after her team sent a cease and desist letter to University of Central Florida student Jack Sweeney, who has been reporting Swift and other celebrities' jet whereabouts on social media. The letter reportedly requested that he stop posting the information online, citing a safety concern.

In the document, Swift's team stated that they would "have no choice but to pursue any and all legal remedies" if Sweeney didn't stop posting her jet flights, arguing that there is "no legitimate interest in or public need for this information, other than to stalk, harass, and exert dominion and control."

Sweeney continues to post information regarding Swift and other celebrities' air travel, such as Elon Musk, including the singer's sale of her personal jet. A few other stars who've appeared on his Instagram account @celebrityjets recently include Tom Cruise, Alex Rodriguez and Blake Shelton.

News about whether or not Swift and her team intend to take further legal action against the college student has not been reported.
