Taylor Swift Reveals Her Nickname for Camila Cabello at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards

The litmus test for being one of Taylor Swift's best friends goes as follows: Have you appeared on her bestie-filled social media? Has she brought you up onstage while on tour? Does she have a pet name for you? If you can answer yes to all three questions, you’ve officially cemented your spot in Taylor’s ever-growing group of BFFs — and the latest celeb to pass all of the above is Ms. Camila Cabello.

Camila has been making appearances on T. Swift’s Instagram since way back in 2015. (They even celebrated her 18th birthday together.) Taylor took the next major step in their friendship by selecting Camila to open for her on her upcoming Reputation tour. And during the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards Sunday night, Taylor revealed that she’s had a nickname for Camila since she first met her.

“Baby C,” Taylor revealed in a video clip that aired during the awards show. “That’s been her nickname ever since I met her.”

The meaning behind the affectionate moniker? “She just kind of bounds through life, like this endless ball of energy,” Taylor explained.

That energy will soon be seen on the Reputation tour stage, which is a “dream come true” for Camila. “As a fan, I’m going to be singing every song at the top of my lungs,” Camila previously wrote on Instagram. “As a friend, it’s a GIANT SLEEPOVER. As the girl who had a Taylor Swift poster in her room when she was 14 and wanted SO BADLY to go to the speak now tour...IT’S A DREAM.”

Taylor isn‘t the only person Camila has fangirl feelings for, however. She’s previously revealed her obsessions with One Direction and Justin Bieber. And, as of Sunday, the latest celeb to be on the receiving end of Camila’s affections is Ed Sheeran.

“I love Ed so much,” she said in the same iHeartRadio Awards clip. “Ed knows that because I cried at his face when I first met him.”

Camila, Ed, and Taylor, the three best friends anyone could have.
