So Apparently Gigi Hadid Didn't Actually Name Her Baby Dorothea

[UPDATE 12/15/20 11:56 AM]: Just like the rumors about the surprise new album, it seems like theories created by Swifties that Gigi Hadid named her baby Dorothea are false too. According to TMZ, Gigi's baby doesn't share a name with the new Taylor Swift song and fans are "connecting dots that aren't there."

Original post: Oh, you thought you figured out every last easter egg and conspiracy theory on Evermore? Well, think again because I have a fresh new one for you and it may just be the craziest of all. Fans think Taylor revealed Gigi Hadid's baby name on the album. I know, I know, that sounds crazy, but Taylor has actually pulled a similar stunt before, specifically on her last album, Folklore.

One Twitter user, @august__girl, put it all together. She explained that the song "August" is the 8th track on Folklore. Earlier this month, Gigi posted a throwback photo from her pregnancy with the caption, "August, waiting for our girl." Well, track eight on Evermore is "Dorothea." So, Gigi's daughter's name could very well be Dorothea.

The timing works out too. While talking to fans on YouTube on the night of Evermore's release, Taylor revealed that she started writing the songs for Evermore about a week after Folklore came out. She also revealed "Dorothea" was the first song she wrote. So, by August, Gigi could have told Taylor they were naming the baby Dorothea and Taylor could have written the song.

And, like I said, Taylor has done this before. On Folklore, Taylor revealed she named all the characters in "Betty" after her friend's kids. Those friends were Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. At the time, Ryan and Blake had already revealed the names of their two oldest daughters, James and Inez, but they were still keeping their youngest a secret. We now know, though, thanks to Taylor, that their third daughter is named Betty.

So, it's not ridiculous to think Taylor could out her friend's baby name. Of course, she most likely got permission from Gigi before doing so. Evermore does give us a lot of great baby name inspiration, though, and Gigi and Zayn's little girl could also be named Ivy, Willow, or even Marjorie. We just need some confirmation now!
