For her second red carpet appearance of 2018, following her May appearance on the Billboard Music Awards, Taylor Swift stepped out in Los Angeles looking like a human disco ball in head-to-toe sparkles. No, really.

She paired her long-sleeve mini Balmain dress with matching knee-high boots, which she styled with her signature bangs and geometric hoops for a very Warhol, Studio 54-inspired look. It's a 180 from her country girl roots (not a red lip in sight), but it's on brand for the vibe of her latest album, reputation.
The 28-year-old is nominated for 4 awards tonight, including Best Artist, Best Pop/Rock Female Artist, Best Tour and Favorite Album. She's also opening the show with her first awards show performance in three years, and her first AMAs performance in 4 years.
She's had her fair share of criticism over the past few days following her decision to finally speak out about politics ahead of the 2018 midterms. Perhaps her shiny, shiny look will deflect the haters?
