The Billboard Music Awards has announced its finalists for this year’s ceremony scheduled for November. The annual awards ceremony celebrates some of the top artists in music across genres ranging from rock to rap.

Billboard and its production partner, Dick Clark Productions, have promised a fresh award show concept with exclusive content, winner celebrations and behind-the-scenes moments. Here’s what to know about the 2023 Billboard Music Awards. (Billboard is owned by Penske Media Corp., which is also WWD’s parent company.)

How to watch the Billboard Music Awards 2023?

This year’s awards will take place on Nov. 19. Performances and awards will roll out across the BBMAs and Billboard social channels and on BBMAs.watch.

Who will perform at the Billboard Music Awards 2023?

Billboard Music Awards performers will be revealed daily on BBMAs social channels, starting on Nov. 6.

What are some changes to this year’s ceremony?

In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, the BBMAs and Spotify “Fans First” will bring fans a personal look at their favorite artists at performances and award celebrations taking place around the globe, amid sold-out tours, and in custom venues.

This year, 100 superfans of the award winners will receive a “golden ticket,” which will allow them to attend a performance with the winning artist at a secret location. The event has also moved from its previous spring slot to fall. From its debut in 1990 through 2006, the Billboard Music Awards took place in December. After 2011, the awards were held in May, with the exception of the pandemic-delayed 2020 show, which took place in October.

Who are the finalists for this year’s Billboard Music Awards?

Taylor Swift now leads the pack as the most decorated female artist with 29 wins and leads this year’s ceremony as a finalist in 20 categories, the most of any artist this year. Morgan Wallen is the leading male finalist this year, up for 16 awards with 17 entries. Drake, the most decorated BBMA artist overall with 34 wins, is up for 14 awards this year.
