Anything can happen now that Katy Perry and Taylor Swift very publicly made amends in 2019 after years of feuding. And fans are convinced that a music collaboration is coming based on Perry and Swift's Instagram posts. Yesterday, Perry teased the first single of her new album "Daisies" is coming out on May 15. "The first single from #KP5 is called #DAISIES and she’s coming MAY 15, 2020 🌼 THE MUSIC MUST GO ON," she captioned the post.

That same day, Swift posted a photo of herself in a sweater with daisies on it. (The sweater is technically called Daisy Jane, fans noted.) "🍷 🐍 biiig isolation 🐍 🍷" she captioned it.

American Idol, the show Perry judges, also tossed out a Taylor Swift easter egg, tweeting about playing Perry's song 1,989 times in a row. One of Swift's albums is called 1989, so this is not exactly subtle:

And daisies as a flower symbolize new beginnings, transformation, and purity—which is a fitting metaphor for Swift and Perry's relationship post-feud.

Perry spoke earlier this year to Stellar magazine about the state of her friendship with Swift now. There's communication, but they aren't hanging out all the time. "Well, we don’t have a very close relationship because we are very busy, but we text a lot," Perry said. "I was impressed by her documentary [Miss Americana] because I saw some self-awareness starting to happen, and I saw a lot of vulnerability."

She added that she was happy about what her appearance in Swift's "You Need to Calm Down" music video last year—the public announcement of their reconciliation—did for fans. "I was really excited for her to be able to show that to the world: that things aren’t perfect, they don’t have to be and it’s more beautiful when they aren't," Perry said. "Even though it was difficult, it was important to make that appearance in the music video because people want people to look up to. We wanted it to be an example of unity. Forgiveness is important. It's so powerful. If you can forgive your enemy, that’s amazing. As difficult as it is!"
