Huge news for Taylor Swift fans: If you've been patiently (or not-so-patiently) waiting to hear the pop star's re-recording of her masters, you're in luck: Taylor just shared a snippet of one of her re-recorded songs, "Love Story," featured in a commercial her buddy Ryan Reynolds wrote for Match.

ICYMI, the "cardigan" singer has been engaged in a major feud with record exec Scooter Braun for more than a year. Scooter’s company purchased Taylor’s Big Machine Label Group catalog back in June 2019 and, as a result, controls how her music can be used.

Taylor decided to take matters into her own hands and plans to re-record her first five albums so that she can own her music. According to her contract, she can re-record her Taylor Swift debut album, 2008's Fearless, 2010's Speak Now, 2012's Red, and 2014's 1989.

And she's wasted absolutely no time in doing just that—and sharing the awesome results with the world. Or, at least giving them a sneak peek.

"Okay so while my new re-records are NOT done, my friend @VancityReynolds asked me if he could use a snippet of one for a LOLsome commercial he wrote so...here’s a sneak peak of Love Story!" Taylor tweeted out on Wednesday. "Working hard to get the music to you soon!!"

So…let's talk about this commercial. It’s hilarious, for starters, because Ryan Reynolds.

In it, you can see the devil hanging out in hell, looking kinda bored. He gets an alert on his phone that he’s been matched with someone and ends up meeting her in New York City’s Central Park. His match, BTW, is 2020.

The two discover that they’re both from hell (bwahahaha) and then the commercial chronicles their—you guessed it—love story, showing shots of them having a romantic picnic in an empty football stadium, working out at a deserted gym, watching a movie in an abandoned theater, stealing TP from a public bathroom, and taking a selfie in front of a dumpster fire.

In the final shot, the two are looking at the Brooklyn Bridge while fire rains down from the sky. "I just don’t want this year to end," the devil says. "Who would?" 2020 replies.

The commercial is so amazing that you kinda forget it’s an ad, and Taylor’s newly recorded "Love Story" is the epic anthem that plays throughout.

Taylor first shared in August 2019 to CBS News that she was going to re-record masters of her own songs to try to take back control of her music. She also said on Good Morning America that she was “very excited” about the process. “My contract says that starting Nov. 2020…I can record albums one through five all over again. I'm very excited about it,” she said. “Because I think that artists deserve to own their work. I feel very passionate about that... it's next year. It's right around the corner. I'm going to be busy. I'm really excited."

Taylor shared on Twitter last month that she was trying to buy back her music catalogue but was asked to first sign a non-disclosure agreement that would forbid her from “saying another word” about Braun “unless it was positive.” This, she said, was a prerequisite to her even knowing how much it would cost her to buy back her catalogue. “These master recordings were not for sale to me,” Taylor wrote.

But Taylor said she’s looking forward, saying that re-recording her songs has been “both exciting and creatively fulfilling.”

So, more music you know and love is coming from Taylor. In the meantime, you can watch—and sing along to—this commercial over and over again.
