Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn Aren't Holding Back the PDA

What started as something as simple as Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn sitting together at this year's Golden Globes (their first official public outing together) has escalated to full-on PDA. The two, who were, until now, known for keeping their relationship out of the headlines and away from cameras, were seen kissing and hugging during the NME Awards in London.

Twitter user Sophie, handle: getlowsoph, who was also at the awards, caught it all, including a kiss and a hug. Swift took home the award for Best Solo Act that night and wasn't officially announced in the lead-up to the show. Like her sudden willingness to show some PDA with Alwyn, her appearance at the show was unexpected.

Swift and Alwyn have been together for three years now and the release of her Netflix documentary, Miss Americana, may have something to do with her attitude towards PDA. In the doc, she explains that Alwyn helped her see what a normal life could be.

"I felt alone, I felt really bitter," she said of her emotional state in 2016, when her, ahem, reputation was taking a hit. "I felt sort of like a wounded animal lashing out. I figured I had to reset everything. I had to reconstruct an entire belief system for my own personal sanity. I also was falling in love with someone who had a wonderfully normal, balanced life."

She added that keeping things on the down-low was a decision that they made together. "We decided together we wanted our relationship to be private," she said. It seems like things have changed and by the looks of it, they're both all in.
