Taylor Swift Hosts First "Lover" Secret Session in London

Once again, Taylor Swift made some very lucky fans feel very special.

The singer-songwriter hosted her first secret session for her upcoming album Lover on Friday, August 2. As noted by People, Taylor personally selected a small group of Swifties to come to her London house for a special listening party ahead of the highly anticipated release. Taylor’s secret sessions have become a regular tradition for the pop star; no two listening parties are the same, and they are customized to fit the themes and motifs of the corresponding album.

According to posts on social media, fans weren’t allowed to share many details from Friday’s Lover session; however, a few gems managed to sneak out. One fan noted that the album contains a mix of bops and tearjerkers, describing the 18 tracks as having “something for everyone.” Another Swiftie shared that Taylor’s favorite song of all time is on her upcoming album (with “All Too Well” being a runner up).

As for the party itself, it definitely seemed like a night to remember. One fan recalled there being heart-shaped pink, purple, and blue Rice Krispies Treats (which were also featured on Taylor’s Instagram), and fans were also greeted with custom “Lover” M&Ms and dozens of board games. Naturally, Taylor’s guests posed for selfies with the pop star, and they took home tote bags and other “Lover” swag as a souvenir.

There’s likely to be even more listening sessions between now and August 23, so stay tuned and keep your eyes on those DMs — you never know who Taylor will pick next.
