Taylor Swift Gave Katy Perry the Sweetest Gift—And Handwritten Note—to Celebrate Baby Daisy

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry’s relationship has been through many twists and turns over the years—but lately it’s been less about the drama and more about the love.

The latest evidence of a feud-free existence between the two singers? Swift’s very sweet gift for Perry and Orlando Bloom’s daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, who was born in August. Perry just posted a photo of the gift, but from the portion of the accompanying note, it’s clear Swift sent the present back in May, before the little girl’s name was revealed.

And it’s a very sentimental gift indeed: a silky pink baby blanket with “Baby Bloom” and a flower embroidered in the corner. “Miss 🌼🕊 adores her hand embroidered blankie from miss @taylorswift 😩😩😩 hope it’s one she drags around for years till it becomes an unrecognizable shred that she keeps in her pocket as a teenager 🥺♥️,” Perry wrote in the caption.

We can’t see much of Swift's handwritten note—“Sent with Love and Hugs from the desk of Taylor Swift”—but it looks like it says, “When I was a baby, my most prized possession was a tiny silk…,” and we’d imagine that sentence ends with something like “blanket.”

We love that these two are friends again. And while Perry may not be an ex, we can’t help but think of Swift’s “Invisible String” lyrics off of her new Folklore album: “Cold was the steel of my axe to grind / For the boys who broke my heart / Now I send their babies presents.”

Swift wasn’t the only star to send Perry a congratulatory present after Daisy’s birth. Beyoncé had a gorgeous bouquet of flowers delivered with a card that read, “Congratulations on the new addition to your family! Beyoncé.”

Perry and Bloom announced the birth of their first child together via Unicef’s Instagram feed (they are both ambassadors for the organization). “As UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors, we know UNICEF is there, on the ground, doing whatever it takes to make sure every expecting mother has access to a trained health worker and access to quality healthcare,” they said. “In celebration of the heart we know our daughter already has, we have set up a donation page to celebrate DDB’s arrival. By supporting them, you are supporting a safe start to life and reimagining a healthier world for every child. We hope your ♥️ can bloom with generosity.”
