Taylor Swift Fans Found Evidence She Borrowed That Big Red Coat From Brittany Mahomes

Even billionaire pop stars shop their friends' closets. At least, according to Taylor Swift fans.

On December 3, Swift made her game-day return to watch boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs face off against the Green Bay Packers. Given it was cold enough to snow in Wisconsin, the 33-year-old pop star spurned typical team merch in favor of a big fleece red coat that would make Clifford envious.

And where did she find such a coat? Well, fans did some digging and are convinced she borrowed the jacket from fellow KC WAG Brittany Mahomes.

Mahomes is the proud owner of many red and yellow statement coats, which are perfect for repping husband Patrick Mahomes's team without sacrificing her aesthetic with a logo. Even so, she opted to go full-on fangirl on December 3, wearing a KC letterman jacket complete with silver stars on the sleeves.

But let's get back to the coat in question. After scrolling through Mahomes's Instagram account, multiple fans discovered that the 28-year-old mother of two wore what appears to be the same Stella McCartney coat as Swift back in November 2022, while she was still pregnant with her 10-month-old son, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III.

“I mean, we love a girl's girl,” one TikTok user captioned their video evidence, which has already received more than 700,000 views and 29,000 likes.

However, a fan in the comments section pointed out that other Chiefs partners seem to own the same coat.

“I think it's a jacket all the WAGs have for winter games,” the user wrote. “I know WAGs will have special jackets and swag that they only order for the WAG group.”

Lyndsay Bell, wife of Chiefs tight end Blake Bell, was indeed wearing a similar (if not the same) coat while attending the game with Swift and Mahomes. If this is truly a WAGs-only coat, that either means Swift borrowed it from someone or she has already received her own—which feels like a commitment!

Still, the fact that Mahomes opted not to match the two other women has me leaning toward the “borrowed from Brittany” camp.

Taylor Swift even styled the look similarly to Mahomes, who wore her Big Red Coat with a black Skims bodysuit and over-the-knee boots last year.

For her part Swift wore her favored black turtleneck, with a matching miniskirt and over-the-knee boots of her own. In fact, her Stuart Weitzman Vidaland 100 boots are currently marked down from $995 to $697. Swift topped off the look with gold necklace and her signature red lip.

Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes have grown pretty close since the pop star began dating 34-year-old NFL player Travis Kelce. What started with girls night outs progressed quickly into secret-handshake territory, and now it seems their sharing-clothes chapter has begun.

What's next—Mahomes skipping the Super Bowl to attend the Eras Tour in Tokyo? I would.
