Fans can sigh in relief knowing that Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift are still besties.
The Rare Beauty founder attended Swift's belated annual 4th of July festivities, accompanied by HAIM sisters Este, Danielle, and Alana. Swift shared a series of photos on Instagram from their gathering, showing how close she's remained with her longtime pals.
In one photo, the pop superstar posed with Gomez, licking a Bomb Pop together; in another photo, the BFFs embraced each other while laughing. Swift also posed for a group picture with all her guests and took candids of the HAIMs singing in the kitchen. At the end of the carousel, she treated fans to a stunning snap of herself, wearing an off-the-shoulder maxi dress and her hair in romantic waves.
Swift captioned the post, "Happy belated Independence Day from your local neighborhood independent girlies 😎. See you tonight Kansas Cityyy."
Although Gomez and Swift are rarely photographed together, the longtime friends have remained close no matter how hectic their lives get.
In April, Gomez showed her support for Swift by attending one of her Eras Tour concerts. After the show, the Disney Channel alum shared on Instagram, "Thank you bestie for having me and my sissy transport into your mystical, euphoric and special world. Proud to know you! love you forever and always."
Gomez also defended her bestie when a now-deleted TikTok resurfaced a clip of Hailey Bieber making gagging gestures while hearing Swift's name. She commented under the video, "So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game."
